Stephen Curry is an incredible shooter. He’s probably the best long range shooter this game has ever seen and a top 3 point guard in the NBA currently (Debate amongst yourselves who the other two are).
But this last month, he’s been historic. He averaged 37.3 ppg, 6.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists. He also shot 51.8 percent from the field and 46.6 percent from 3. These are insane numbers for any player but in addition to these ridiculous statistics, he broke single month scoring records as well.
Curry broke Kobe Bryant’s record for most 30 point games in a month for a player 33 and older with 13. He also broke Kobe’s record for most 30 point games consecutively for a player 33 and older with 11 games. In addition, he broke the all time record for most 40 point games in a month for a player 33 and older with 5. Also at the age of 32 he broke his career high in points and scored 62 in a game.
And when you think more records couldn’t be broken, Curry broke two more. He sets the record for most 3 pointers made in a calendar month with 96 and also became the fastest player to hit 300 3s in a season, doing so in 58 games. And to top it all off, his incredible month has earned him a spot as the leading scorer in the NBA, averaging 31.5 points per game.
