Bucks v Suns: The Valley Rising

As stated earlier, no one expected the Phoenix Suns to be one of the top teams in the Western Conference for a major duration of the season. Call it skill, call it luck, call it lack of devastating injuries, the Suns are back and as it’s often said, the 3rd time is the charm.

Led by All-Star Chris Paul, the Suns exceeded all expectations this season but the seeds of success were planted last season when two franchises would collide in a sense.

They enjoyed a stellar 8-0 run in the NBA’s Bubble and Chris Paul, then with the Oklahoma City Thunder, led a rag tag group of young stars into the playoffs.

As the two worlds of the Suns and Chris Paul collided under the stewardship of Head Coach Monty Williams the stars aligned. Not only did the Suns finish with one of the top records in the NBA but they enjoyed a run in the playoffs thus far that saw them not be tested.

Once again, they deserve this moment and Chris Paul, after 16 seasons to reach his first NBA Finals deserves all of the flowers that he has received; not even Covid-19 could derail him at this point and it seems as if the Basketball Gods have anointed him but games still must be played.
