Dallas Mavericks F Chandler Parsons was one of the franchise’s biggest off season acquisitions but after a up and down year and now a knee injury that will keep him sidelined for the remainder of the post season, Mavericks fans have yet to see the best of the versatile forward. The veteran recently spoke about holding off the decision to have surgery on his injured right knee.
“I’m not going to make any decisions and have an operation and have to miss a game,” Parsons said. “I’ll stay with the team. I’m definitely going to have some sort of operation. Once they’re int here, it’s up to the Doc and what he thinks is best for my knees.”
On being away from the team
“It’s probably the most frustrating situation I’ve ever been in,” Parsons said. “I’ve never been hurt. I never had surgery. I’ve never missed a playoff game. All that has added up and it’s taken a toll on me, but I look at it as a BLESSING in disguise. Whatever I have to do with the recovery and the rehab I’ll do to the best of my ability. I’ll take some time and reset my body and get stronger and faster than ever before. I’ll try to turn a negative into a positive.”
